Free web videos, hundreds of them, are being added to TiVo Series 3, TiVo HD as well as the TiVo HD XL. If you are into watching podcasts – you can now find podcasts that TiVo cannot find for you. All you have to do is enter RSS feeds manually and watch the show.
You will now be able to watch free video podcasts from Oprah, Fox, CBS and more. Viewers have a choice to watch one episode or the whole season via a season pass.
Guidelines have been given to show producers for getting their web videos DVR ready. This step comes on the heels of a constant stream of upgrades to the TiVo platform in the last year.
Meanwhile TiVo is in another partnership, this time with Rovi. Rovi TV movie and music data will now be available on several TiVo DVR’s and other services. Joshua Danovitz, GM and VP, TiVo said that providing a broad range of data to subscribers and technology distributors was important for TiVo.
TiVo has been constantly innovating over the past year with Netflix Streaming, Amazon Video on Demand and other such interesting offerings.
